Promotes Comfort and Security
The Rainforest Jumperoo is a safe and comfortable place for baby to sit and play, whether he stays for just a moment or for several minutes. Two soft leaves extend from the frame to create an overhead canopy with soft toys that dangle down for fun bat-at play. It also features a rotating seat with soft spring covers that keep little fingers safe from pinching, and three-position height adjustment for a custom fit.

Stimulating Interactive Play
Everything your baby needs at play-time can be found in this Rainforest Jumperoo. Its newly designed frame both allows you to open it up from the top, and lets the seat rotate 360 degrees so baby can play and interact from any side. A fun seat and toys at five locations on the platform engage baby all the way around, and an electronic toy at the front has motion, music and lights that can be activated by baby spinning a drum. (Mom or Dad can also activate an option for four minutes of continuous play.)

Little explorers will also enjoy playing with the Jumperoo's many animals and toys, including a bobbling elephant, a monkey swinging from a vine, a parrot hanging from a bead bar, a clear spinning bead ball, a tiger that plays hide and seek, a spinning lizard that makes rattling sounds, a tethered chew toy, and a stack of chips with eye-catching graphics for baby to explore.

Encourages Healthy Development
The Rainforest Jumperoo is designed to help encourage healthy development. Moving, spinning, and jumping in a baby jumper enhances large motor skills. Secondly, the variety of textures integrated into the rainforest toys provide tactile stimulation, while the bright colors and fun music engage your child's visual and auditory senses. This educational system also enhances learning through discovery; baby's actions make things happen, helping him to understand cause and effect. Finally, reaching and grasping onto the baby jumper's toys fosters eye-hand coordination.

Easy to Use, Move, and Store
Parents will appreciate the quick take-down and portability of the Rainforest Jumperoo--the frame pivots to a nested position so it can be tucked away when not in use, and it simply folds so you can carry it from room to room. And no doorway is required to use this toy, making it a breeze to set it up anywhere.

The Rainforest Jumperoo includes a motion sensor that encourages kids by rewarding them with lights and sounds when they jump, has a weight capacity of 25 pounds and maximum height 32 inches, and requires three "AA" batteries (not included). It also measures 32.0 x 43.125 x 37 inches (WxHxD).

  • Jumperoo's comfortable rotating seat provides a safe place for baby to play
  • Moving, spinning and jumping in a baby jumper enhances large motor skills
  • Baby jumper's colorful Rainforest toys and fun music stimulate your child's visual and auditory senses
  • No doorway required with this baby jumper
  • Peace of mind safe jumping fun for baby

We were originally going to get our 8 month old a jumper that you hang from the door. After reading some reviews about injuries and mishaps from jumping into the door frames, we firmly decided against that and researched floor models.

We were between this Jumperoo and another one that has 4 support poles as the base. The square Jumperoo didn't have nearly as many toys for her to discover and it seemed to take up much more space. We decided on this Jumperoo because it took up less room and had more toys for only slightly more money. The investment was worth it for just the first 10 minutes of fun!

When we first put her in, she wasn't quite sure what to make of it and just looked around at the toys grabbing for them. After she realized (in the first 2 minutes) that she could jump, she did with great joy. Her face was all smiles and watching her kick her feet out while jumping had us all rolling on the floor hysterically.

The toys she likes best are... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Better & more attractive than the Deluxe Jumperoo..., January 27, 2007

We have an active baby that really likes to stand, tries to walk when held, and always wants to be on the move -- it can be exhausting. From reviews I read, the Jumperoo seemed like a great toy to provide excercise and fun for the baby (and a short break for Mom & Dad).

The long awaited Rainforest Jumperoo finally came about a week ago! Since we had pre-ordered from Amazon in November anticipating a Christmas gift, we were disappointed that there were delays and it was not expected 'til well after the holidays.

In the meantime, my 3 month old son was anxious to move and had lots of energy, so I bought the Deluxe Jumperoo at a local retailer about 4 weeks ago. He liked it, but seemed to get bored quickly with the toys and would use it just a few minutes each day.

Some of the key differences with the Rainforest Jumperoo:

- The seat rotates 360 degrees and there are toys all around it, so there is always something new to look at -- and he can... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Puts My Baby Boy to Sleep in an Instant, January 25, 2011

After I received and assembled this item, my baby started to love it. He loves listening to music and he easily falls asleep everytime I (or his mom) rock him gently in my/her arms. Why haven't I bought this earlier, let's say when he was about a month old?

Because I had no idea that there is a swing like this that I can Fold and Stow Away. We are apartment dwellers and our unit is already cluttered with my baby boy's stuff. So after he's done with the swing, I just fold it and place it in the closet. Whoever thought of this is a genius.

Assembly was pretty easy, took me 15 minutes. I suggest you ask your wife or somebody to help you to make it easier. It is sturdy, as long as you assemble it according to the manual and make sure every component is fitted tightly.

The sound quality is great on this unit.

I gave it four stars because it has no option for an AC adapter but aside from that I find nothing else wrong with it.

Animal Friends Keep Your Baby Entertained
Whether your baby is in a playful mood or ready for rest and relaxation, she's sure to love swinging with her animal friends. A hanging toucan and turtle are ready to take your baby for a delightful, gentle swing in a generous bucket seat that nestles her in comfort. As she swings, your baby will enjoy the sweet melodies of seven songs, the variation of five swing speeds, and the softness of the padded lion seat cover. And a secure three-point restraint system keeps her in the proper, safe position throughout.

Designed to Promote Comfort and Security for Your Baby
This swing can help soothe your baby with its rhythmic back-and-forth motion. This movement simulates a parent's comfortable rocking motion and is meant to calm your baby and encourage relaxation, making this swing ideal for preparing your child for sleep.

A Variety of Features Stimulate Your Baby's Senses
The Take-Along Swing also encourages healthy sensory development. First, the variety of different music selections stimulates your baby's auditory skills, just as the brightly colored animal friends provide visual stimulation. As your baby reaches for the turtle and toucan, he also improves his hand-eye coordination, and discovers the pleasure of physical movement.

Compact and Portable Enough to Go Anywhere
This swing is unique in that it's designed to be ultra-portable, and it's easy to pack and carry. It conveniently folds for travel, or parents can use the swing's carry handles on each side to move it from room to room without straining. 5.0 out of 5 stars Great Swing....Great price!, September 4, 2009

This review is from: Fisher-Price Precious Planet Open Top Take-Along Swing (Baby Product)
We're on our second child and our 4th swing. Our fist son wore out 2 swings, and the 3rd worked just ok until our second son came along, then it decided to die also. Having invested a ton of money on 3 swings already that all broke, I was hesitant to buy another one. But this one was so cute and was such a great price I couldn't resist. Our son absolutely loves it! We also have the matching bouncer and tummy time mat. The swing keeps him calm and puts him to sleep, giving us time to take care of other things. The music is cute and the speeds are great, especially for a heavier baby. I highly recommend this swing, and will now buy Fisher Price products instead of Graco (FYI the 3 swings we had that died were all graco!)

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, not great, April 7, 2010
By
This review is from: Fisher-Price Precious Planet Open Top Take-Along Swing (Baby Product)
We got this for our young baby and he was immediately taken with the bright colors and the cute hanging toys! A real delight to watch him enjoy it. However a swing/bouncer is only going to be used for a few months and I feel this is a lot to spend on a short-lived product. Once baby starts to sit up straight he will not enjoy the recline position at all. Other than that, the speeds are way too fast for a young baby and the music is so-so. But nowadays almost every contraption comes with its own music. Bottomline, we went for the bright look and weren't disappointed. But if there was a less expensive one, no harm going with that. The swing is lightweight though and we used the portable feature to carry it between the floors of our home. It also fit nicely in his crib, and we placed it there when he was a young infant.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice compact swing! (And the speed control DOES work.), March 23, 2010
This review is from: Fisher-Price Precious Planet Open Top Take-Along Swing (Baby Product)
A lot of people mention that the speed control on this swing doesn't work right, or that the swing is too fast. The reason for these problems is that people don't finish reading the instructions. And for good reason... after finishing assembly according to the instructions, it appears that you have reached the end of the instructions. But if you turn the page, you will find just a little bit more -- and that little bit more is most useful!

First, according to the instructions, the speed control won't work properly if there is no baby in the swing. That's easy enough to fix. Second, the swing speed will be too fast for small babies (less than 9 lbs). The instructions say to drape a blanket over the back of the chair to slow the swing down. But I've found the best way is to let the back of the chair hit or rub against something soft, like the sofa. You can slow it down to any speed you want that way. After doing this for a couple of weeks, our baby has grown almost to the... Read more
