With our second, we decided we should have one that plugs in so that we don't have to worry about keeping extra batteries around. I had read the reviews about the motor, but figured I'd just send it back to Amazon if our motor was bad. The problem with the swing is that it's not clear if the motor is bad. It swings, but not quite fast enough to soothe. We've ended up hardly using this swing and going back to the Ocean Wonders. I say little, but that would be a lie, these types of swings aren't little.After using it for a short while, I can honestly say I love it. It's a great swing that's easy to use, simple to adjust, and pretty darn cute. Everything is very solid, I was not afraid that it would collapse or fall apart. It's also lighter than it looks, making it easy to move around to different rooms. The music isn't nearly as obnoxious as so many other musical baby toys, almost pleasant to listen to. It's not 100% sunshine and rainbows though. I felt like there was a lot to put together. More than the crib. More than the car seat, stroller or pack and play.
