He has loved it right from the start, he is now 7 weeks old and when I lay him on the mat - turn on the music and lights he starts kicking, smiling, and cooing. He started out with being happy on it for 10 minutes but now lays on it happy for 20 minutes or more. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful Simple but Highly Entertaining, By This review is from: Fisher-Price Luv U Zoo Deluxe Musical Mobile Gym (Baby Product) I'm one of those parents who don't want my child bombarded with too many synthetic and obnoxious toys. This one however is so great. I always set the music to the lowest volume (there's two levels) and would set the center part to rotate instead of lights flashing to enhance my baby's motor skills of trying to reach out for objects. These days, passive learning is changing the way our kids' brains develop that as a parent you have to conscious as to how your child will interact or if they'll interact with a toy instead of just laying there hypnotized by its sounds, lights, and visuals. And yes, from time to time when I... Unlike others, I don't mind that the lights and mobile don't work at the same time. I started setting my son on this mat when he was just about 4 weeks old. We first used the mobile, he was interested, but after a couple days we could tell he was following the mobile, and didn't notice the lights. Over the last couple weeks we turn the lights on to see if he notices them. And over the last few days he's been able to now see the lights. We use it every day and we still have the same batteries. The toys that came with it are great except for the monkey's. They're heavy and don't stay attached, but I wouldn't take a star away for that. The rest of the toys are great. The music is decent too. It would be nice if you could use the mobile or lights without the music though. |
